Who we are

Wizzmo is operated by WiseBees Academy Ltd, registered in the UK. You can contact our data team at privacy@wizzmo.com.

What we collect

For parents and teachers: name, email, billing details (via Stripe — we never see your card), and the children you add to your account.

For children: a chosen display name, year group, selected subjects, an optional sign-in PIN, and per-quest progress (answers, hints requested, mastery stars).

We do not collect a child's real name, school name, or precise location unless a school admin enters those for roster management.

What we never do

  • Sell or rent personal data to anyone.
  • Use a child's data to train any third-party AI model.
  • Show third-party advertising to children.
  • Run public leaderboards that name children.
  • Share a child's data with another child's parents.

How AI is used

Wizzmo's curriculum content (lessons, answer keys) comes from Oak National Academy. An LLM (Claude, by Anthropic) generates Socratic hints and tone-matched encouragement; it never grades a child or invents an answer. Prompts and responses are processed through Anthropic's API under their data-processing agreement; no child data is used for model training.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion (subject to legal hold), or to withdraw consent for processing. Email privacy@wizzmo.com and we respond within 30 days.

Children's rights (Age-Appropriate Design Code)

Wizzmo is built to the UK ICO's Age-Appropriate Design Code. Children's accounts default to the highest privacy settings, profiling is off, and data use is described in age-appropriate language inside the app.

Retention

Active accounts: data kept while your subscription is active. If you cancel, we hold your child's progress for 90 days in case you return, then permanently delete it. Backups are purged within an additional 30 days.

Sub-processors

We use the following processors to run Wizzmo: Stripe (billing), Clerk (auth), Anthropic (AI), Resend (email), and a UK/EU-region database provider. Each operates under a current data-processing agreement.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material we'll email account holders and post a dated notice here. The current version is dated 2026-05-28.
